March 1, 2026: Launch of AIMS@USC

AIMS@USC officially launches on March 1, 2026, with generous support from the USC Office of Research and Innovation (OORI). This milestone marks the beginning of a coordinated institutional effort to advance AI-driven methods for spatial analysis across disciplines. With foundational backing from OORI, AIMS@USC is positioned to catalyze innovation, foster cross-campus collaboration, and build shared computational infrastructure that empowers investigators working with complex spatial datasets.

March 18, 2026: Inaugural Spatial Summit

On March 18, 2026, we will convene our first Spatial Summit, bringing together computational scientists, experimentalists, clinicians, and trainees to define priorities for spatial research at USC. This inaugural meeting will serve as both a showcase of ongoing projects and a collaborative think tank to shape methodological direction, data standards, and translational opportunities. The Summit represents our commitment to transparency, community engagement, and collective problem-solving as we accelerate progress in spatial science.

April 1, 2026: 5th Zilkha Night Presentation

On April 1, 2026, AIMS@USC will present at the 5th Zilkha Night, highlighting early progress, institutional vision, and emerging opportunities in spatial and AI-driven biomedical research. This presentation provides an opportunity to share our mission with a broader audience, celebrate interdisciplinary collaboration, and demonstrate how methodological innovation can directly advance scientific discovery and translational impact across USC.
